John grew up in Alaska, later moving to Longmont. He worked at Sherwood Manufacturing in Longmont for several years, working as a machine operator, doing injection molding. He later worked as a dry waller with a friend. He also worked at Longmont Times-Call as a delivery person. John then went to work for a tool and die cast company.
On May 6, 1978, he married Ronda Landolt in Longmont.
John liked to go fishing, working on his hot rod car and spending time playing with his grandchildren. He loved to let his grandkids put makeup and nail polish on him for fun. He also loved his dogs, Jacks and Lily.
John is survived by his wife, Ronda of Longmont; a daughter, Jennifer Hill of Longmont; two sons, John Paul “J.P.” Hill and Steven Hill both of Longmont; a sister, Shelly Hill of Longmont and three
grandchildren, Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Rylinn all of Longmont.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom.
