

Jorge Serrano, 29, of Greeley, died as a result of an accident February 1, 2016. He was born March 29, 1986 in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to Jorge Hugo Serrano Jimenez and Nora Laura Padilla Guerrero. Jorge lived in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico until age 14. The family moved to Aurora where he completed his education. After high school, he worked various jobs.
Jorge met Evaline Hernandez in Ft. Lupton and they were married on November 15, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnstown. After their marriage, they lived in Greeley. Jorge was employed by Wal-Mart for the past 5 years, and was an area manager for the distribution center.
Jorge was very responsible in all aspects of his life. He was very generous and would help many in need. He was very loyal to his family and friends, and put everyone else first. Jorge loved to work out and enjoyed going to the gym with his family. He especially enjoyed weightlifting. He loved to use limes to flavor many of the foods he enjoyed. Jorge was everyone’s hero and was admired by all. “One person with conviction can overwhelm hundreds with only opinions.” “Life is tough I get that, but our attitudes prove who we are.” Jorge Serrano. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Jorge is survived by his wife Evaline; two sons Cayden Azael Serrano and Kaleb Andre Serrano; Parents Nora Saucedo (Frank) of Greeley and Jorge Serrano Jimenez of Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico; a sister Laura Patricia Phelps (Nathaniel) of Evans; two brothers Julio Cesar Serrano (Soledad) and Brayan Alexis Serrano both of Greeley; Grandparents Andrea Guerrero of Denver and Oscar Padilla of Aurora; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law Lorenza and Dulces Hernandez of Greeley; sister-in-law Naomi Hernandez of Greeley; brother-in-law Abdon Hernandez all of Greeley; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 23rd Avenue and 21st Street in Greeley. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
