

Joyce Eileen Frank formerly of Loveland, CO passed away on July 30, 2015 at her home in Dallas, OR. She was born on October 24, 1935 in Wiley, Colorado to Clarence and Thelma Lamle. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed horseback riding and training horses in her youth.
As a young adult, Joyce’s other interests included music, playing the piano, dancing, singing in a church choir and spending time with friends. She married Warren Wood in 1954 and they had four children. They lived in Cheyenne, WY while Warren was in the Air Force then they settled in Lovespark, Il before moving to Loveland in 1966.
She married a second time to Richard Frank in 1970. A loving mother, Joyce spent years at home raising her kids. When circumstances required it, she went back to work. She worked many years at Hewlett Packard, retiring in the 1990’s. She was a wonderful cook and created numerous needlework projects over the years.
Joyce and Rich moved to the mountains in Falls City, OR in 1995. There she enjoyed square dancing, gardening, and participating in an RV club. She also liked bird watching and feeding them and the deers in her yard. She was an avid reader all her life. Following Rich’s death in 2007, She moved to Dallas, OR. Joyce was active in Trinity Lutheran church in Loveland, CO and Dallas, OR.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Frank, and her son, Alan Wood. She is survived by her children, Jessica Hopkins of Salem, OR, David Wood of Tacoma, WA and Paul Wood of Loveland, CO and nine grandchildren. No services are planned at this time.
