John grew up in the Fort Lupton and Brighton area. He was known as “Shark”, he enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing pool, horseshoes and hanging out with his friends.
He is survived by daughter, Julie Sweeney; son, Jimmy Carrillo; three granddaughters, one grandson; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Rodriguez, Linda Sanchez of Greeley, Sue Trujillo of Brighton and Anna Gurule of Northglenn and brother, Mike Trujillo of Greeley.
John is preceded in death by mom, Patricia Gurule, step-dad, Eloy Gurule and his siblings, Rosalie Trujillo, Raymond Gurule, Teresa Gurule, Martha Rivera, Louis Trujillo, Virgil Gurule, Robert Gurule and Mary Feige.
Visitation will be from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Liturgical service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
