Judy Elaine Schrader

On February 24, 2025 Judy was a patient at Banner Comfort Care where she lost her final fight with the ill health that she had dealt with for years. She was born September 17, 1942 in Fort Morgan to Howard and Ruth (Patterson) Brawner. She married Stanley Schrader December, 1961. They were married until his death in November, 2009. They moved south of Kersey where she lived for the last 50 years. She enjoyed raising her animals and helping "the kids". She was involved with Bronco Boosters and the Classic Lanes Jr Bowlers and 4-H. She was the driver for many a sporting event always with extra kids along. She loved that they still called her Old Lady Schrader.

Judy was a big supporter of Platte Valley sports. She continued to go to games and keep a close eye on the stats long after her kids and grandkids graduated.

Judy is survived by her children, Kelly Welnetz, Scott Schrader and Stacey Schrader (Robin), her grandchildren Megan VanArsdol (Caleb), Sage Schrader Mayo (Jaime), Nicholas Schrader (Jessica), Matthew Decker (Brittany), Shelby Schrader and Austin Schrader (Brittany) as well as 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Fillinger (Robert) and brother Howard Brawner Jr. , sister in law Peggy Brawner as well as a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Grace Bain, brother Everett Brawner and daughter in law Vicki Schrader.

Our family would like to thank the staff at Banner, UCHealth and Platte Valley Fire Protection District for all their efforts over the years. We'd also like to thank everyone at Life Care Center. She considered you all her friends and we're grateful for your kindness.
