

At the age of 89 years, of Greeley Colorado, has passed away on Friday October 31st 2025. Born January 7th 1936 on a family farm outside of Barnesville Colorado, she was the daughter of Macario & Carmen Lomeli, raised with 16 siblings. Julia, grew up with her family on a farm in Gill Co. Julia, Graduated from Gill High School in 1954. She found employment at Wright & McGill Rod Co. in Greeley Colorado. Julia met the love of her life, Augustine “Tim” Arguello at the Our Lady of Peace State Armory church social dance. They danced, dated and married in 1958.
Tim & Julia continued their dance in life by welcoming their 1st born, in 1960 Antonio (Tony) Arguello. In 1965 the second son was born, Timothy Max Arguello, followed by Matthew Lew Arguello in 1967. Finally in 1968, their one and only daughter was born Monica Joyce (Arguello) Medina.
Julia was a dedicated loving mother, housewife, and teacher of bilingual education for District 6 at East Memorial Elementary. Julia was always very active in supporting her husband in his construction career and supporting her children in all their academic education, music, sporting & dramatic arts activities. Tim and Julia lived a blessed life together for over 46 years. They were both active members of Our Lady of Peace and St. Peter’s Catholic Churches.
Julia, is survived by her son Tony Arguello, daughter Monica (Arguello)Medina, and son in-law James Medina. Julia is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces. Julia will be remembered by all as a warm and loving person for all occasions, events, and family adventures. She was always so full of life, being a positive role model for all in her gentle loving ways.
Services for Julia will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church 915 – 12th St. Greeley, CO on Tuesday, November 11. Rosary at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM
Graveside Services, will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W 28th St. Greeley, CO at 10:30 AM
Reception Lunch immediately following at St. Peter’s Catholic Church
