

Julia “Julie” (Paul) Hoehn, 59, of Lakewood, formerly of Greeley, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at her home. Julia was born on February 17, 1955 in Greeley to Alton Lamar and Margaret Jean (MacQueen) Paul.
Julia was reared and educated in Greeley attending Maplewood Elementary, Heath Junior High and graduating from Greeley Central High School. While in high school she excelled academically and was a cheerleader and banner girl. She also attended Morganti Finishing School in Greeley, which taught etiquette. After graduation from high school, she attended Colorado Womens College, in Denver. She later attended nursing school
She was married to Craig Collins and later divorced. She met Joe Hoehn and their first date was at Kobe An Sushi Restaurant, Lakewood, in June 2008. Julia married her beloved Joe on June 23, 2012 at Mount Vernon Country Club, Golden.
Julia was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Greeley and a member of Daughters of the Mayflower.
Julia was very musical, playing the flute and piano. She enjoyed cooking and watching the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. She and Joe loved to travel and she especially loved traveling to Santa Fe, New Mexico, Durango and the Grand Canyon.
Julia was a very caring and compassionate person all of her life and was always there to help anyone. Above all was the love for her family.
Julia is survived by her husband, Joe; her son, Christopher Collins (Tricia Lee) of El Paso, Texas; her brother, David Paul (Mary) of Austin, Texas; her granddaughter, Caydyn Collins and her grandson, Cade Collins, both of El Paso; her niece, Sarah Paul and her nephew, Lance Paul both of Greeley.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 noon Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3800 West 20th Street, Greeley. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
