

Julia moved to Weld County when she was 13 years old. On December 28, 1957, she married Marshall A. Vigil in Greeley. He passed away April 15, 1994.
Julia was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She and her husband lived in Gill, Eaton and then moved to Greeley in 1971.
Julia loved to sing, make crafts and cook, including her own flour tortillas. Julia was a loving and caring person and extended her hand to anyone. She had many friends and was loved by all who met her. Above all was her love for her family.
Julia is survived by two sons, Marshall “Junior” Vigil and Daniel Joseph “Danny” Vigil (Donna) all of Greeley; sister, Maria Alvarez of Gill; three brothers, Felix Maltos of Gill, Valentine Maltos (Angie) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Raymond Maltos (Mary) of Greeley; seven grandchildren, Rachel Vigil (Victor Villereal) of Longmont, Rosalinda Vigil of San Antonio, Texas, Justin Vigil, Shareen Vigil, Tiffany Vigil, Siara Vigil and E.J. Vigil all of Greeley and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
