Kyle James Hibler

Kyle James Hibler was born on May 13, 1984 to Ken and Becky (Batz) Hibler in Longmont, Colorado. He was an only child and was very much loved by his family and the many friends that he made during his lifetime. He was a caring and compassionate young man who loved people and animals and thrived on making people laugh.

Kyle was raised in Longmont through his grade school years. In 1999 he moved to Whitefish, Montana to live with his mother and step-father, Becky and Steve Vance. In the fall he started at Whitefish High School. To say that Kyle loved school for the education is a bit of a stretch. He loved school because of the people who were there – teachers, staff, students and the lifelong friends he made. He graduated in 2002.

Kyle continued his education at Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, Montana. He graduated in 2004 with an Associates Degree in Business.

After graduating from FVCC, Kyle moved to Missoula to continue his education at the University of Montana and to pursue his passion to become a certified personal trainer.

Kyle was happiest in his job at Gold’s Gym where he worked with people and promotion. While at Gold’s, he became an experienced personal trainer and assistant manager. He was also able to pursue his goals to become a competitive weight lifter and body builder. In 2008 and 2009 Kyle participated in the Pride Power Lifting competitions in Missoula. In 2008 he received awards for 1st place in power lifting and was overall champion. In 2009 he received 1st place awards for bench press and dead lift.

In May of 2014 Kyle moved to Colorado for better employment opportunities and to again be close to his childhood friends. During his short time there he worked for Verizon and was a personal trainer.

On January 23rd, while crossing a street in Fort Collins, Kyle was hit by a car. After 3 days in the critical care unit, Kyle was taken off of life support. He passed away on January 26, 2015. As an organ donor, Kyle benefitted as many as 70 others in need. Kyle has been cremated. A celebration of his life will be held in Colorado in the spring. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Kyle is survived by his father and step-mother Ken and Kathy Hibler and step-brother Blake Shipman of Lafayette Indiana, mother and step-father Becky and Steve Vance of Whitefish Montana, step-brother James Vance and family of El Paso Texas, step-sister Rachel Pelzer and family of Dallas Oregon, grandmother Mary Batz of Laramie Wyoming, and aunt and uncle Kathy and Marlon Rambo of Laramie Wyoming.
