Laura grew up in Greeley. She graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1984. In 1985, she met Rich Nunn and they were married on April 22, 1988 at Centennial Village in Greeley. After their marriage, they lived in Greeley until 1991, when the family moved to Kimball, Nebraska. They lived there for 20 years, where they raised their children. They returned to Greeley in 2008 and have been here since.
Laura loved her family, especially her children. She enjoyed music and singing along with her favorite songs. She loved the time spent with her dog, Ninja.
Laura is survived by her sons, Kyle Nunn and wife, Terri of Kearney, Nebraska and Aric Nunn of Evans; father, Sam Derrera of Evans; two sisters, Tammy Mahaffey and husband, Ron of Greeley and Jewels Moeller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; step-sister, Netha Corbin of Windsor; nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and her special “granddogs”, Todd and Cira.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Derrera.
A Celebration of Life will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Zoe’s Café, 715 10th Street, Suite 100 in Greeley.
