

She was born in Greeley on May 24, 1939 to Earl London England and Ellen Agnes England. Her childhood years were spent on a farm near Kersey and then she moved to Greeley for her teenage years. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, her parents, and her brothers and sister, Darrell, Delbert, JD, and Rosetta.
Lois was the beloved wife of Henry Dean Sturtevant. They were married on November 15, 1958. They were an Air Force family. They enjoyed and were very fond of all the different bases they lived on. Lois had three sons and four daughters: Sue Barron, Ricky Dean Sturtevant, Doreen Baker, Chris Sturtevant, Scott Sturtevant, Tammi Sturtevant, and Nicole Watkins. She had eight grandchildren: Alyssa, Betty, Ryan, Jackson, Brandon, Tate, Morgan, and Ty and many great-grandchildren and a special “adopted” daughter, Tina Wile.
Henry and Lois returned to Greeley in late 1978. Lois started working in the lunch program at School District 6. She made many great friends including her very special friends, Barb Grossnickle, Angie Parker, and Connie Stock.
Lois’ number one passion was Christmas. She could really give ol’ Santa Claus some stiff competition. Hank and Lois were a lake camping family. They spent many weekends at Jackson Lake. Lois made some very special friends there who became like family. Brad and Janice Hueske and Troy and Debbie Taylor.
Funeral Service for Lois will be held at Christ Community Church, 1301 15th Street, Greeley, CO 80631, on Wednesday January 10th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
