Lyle Ballhagen

Lyle Dean Ballhagen, 66, of Nunn, Colorado passed away on August 19, 2025. His loving wife, Catherine Elizabeth Marie Ballhagen, 66, passed shortly thereafter on August 24, 2025. Their dedication to each other was unwavering.

Lyle attended Alameda Senior High School in Lakewood, Colorado and Cathy attended East High School in Rockford, Illinois. Lyle and Cathy were united in marriage on August 25, 1984, in Lakewood, Colorado. The couple had a son, Eric, who was a constant source of happiness for them.

Lyle worked as a truck driver for over 30 years and enjoyed fishing and his family. Cathy worked as an optical technician for over 20 years, she loved to watch football, especially the Broncos and the Bears. She was the life of the party.

Lyle and Cathy are survived by their son, Eric Ballhagen, Lyle’s brother and sister, Larry Ballhagen and Melody Reese, Cathy’s brothers, David and Joseph Heck, and Cathy’s sisters, Judy Walker and Nancy Reese.

Lyle is preceded in death by his brother, Allan Ballhagen, his parents, Maynard and Lois Ballhagen. Cathy is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Mary Lou Heck.

A Private Family Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
