Marcelina grew up in Gallup, New Mexico. She worked in a hotel as Harvey Girl. In October 1948, she married Benito Aguallo in San Rafael, New Mexico. After their marriage, they moved to Devine, Texas. In 1951, they moved to Windsor, where they raised their family. They renewed their wedding vows on October 22, 1953 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Greeley, where they were members. For the past three years, Marcelina has lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Eva and Samuel Medina.
Marcelina enjoyed dancing, listening to Spanish music, planting flower gardens, solving crossword puzzles, putting together puzzles and Bingo.
Marcelina is survived by her six daughters, Marcelina Becera of Waco, Texas, Margarita Blute of Tucson, Arizona, Luisa Jaramillo (Harold) of Glendale, Arizona, Juanita Buittner (Gaylon) of Avondale, Arizona, Theresa Wooten (Vance) of Eugene, Oregon and Eva Medina (Samuel) of Milliken; four sons, Benito Aguallo, Jr. (Cecilia) of Denver, Julian Aguallo (Kathleen) of Delavan, Wisconsin, Juan Aguallo of Colorado Springs and Anthony Aguallo of Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Helen Chavez of Fort Collins; 16 grandchlidren; 25 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Adam Arguallo and a sister, Genevive Candelaria.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnstown. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Windsor.
