

Marguerite L. (Hamlet) Huff, 90, of Greeley, Colo., passed away on July 9, 2014. She was born in Greeley, Colo., to George and Mable (Young) Hamlet on May 13, 1924. Marguerite was one of 10 children.
Marguerite and her love Vaughan Huff, were married March 25, 1945. The marriage was blessed with five children, Michael (Marilyn) Huff of Kremmling, CO, Melvin Huff of Cheyenne, WY, Veronica (John) Andrews of Greeley, CO, Cheryl (Rick) Schroeder of Clayton, NM, and Patricia Huff (Gareth Beynon), Fairfield, OH. As well as many foster kids over the years. Vaughan passed away in 1996 after 51 years of marriage.
She is survived by her children; grandchildren, Ronda Wells, Ira Huff, Tina Andrews, Carrie Dunham, Leslie Downing-Larson, Jody Earl, Clint Huff, Alethea Watson, Ashley Hayes, Bridget Bastian, and Cole Bastian. 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Lorraine Gustafson, Delores Peterson, Gloria Lassegard; brother Fred Hamlet and numerous nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert Grosse, Robert Grosse, George Hamlet; and sisters, Mary Jane Nixon and Jacqueline Clasen.
A special “Thank You” to Vicki Eldridge, Barbara Keuker, and Maria Byron, who loved and cared for her and to Gentiva Hospice and Ashley Manor Assisted Living.
Marguerite touched many lives during her life and everyone who knew her loved her. She was a bus monitor for the Greeley Weld County School District. She loved dancing and fishing. One of her favorite past times in recent years was watching the Colorado Rockies play.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
