Maria Helen Cruz

She was a devoted mother of nine, raising her children with deep care and resilience. After her first marriage to Bill Ramirez Sr. Helen found lasting love with Jerry, J Cruz Sr., whom she met while working at Weld County General Hospital. Together, they built a beautiful life and family,

Helen worked at Kodak Colorado division for many years, rising to head operator before retiring in 1994. She found joy in quilting, crocheting, and reading, simple pleasures that reflected her warmth and creativity.

She is deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is reunited in peace with her husband, Jerry, her parents, her daughter Yvonne, and beloved grandchildren, and family gone before her.

Helen‘s legacy of love and quiet strength live on in all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons Bill (Penny) Ramirez, Patrick Ramirez, Vincent Ramirez, Lauriano Ramirez, Jerry Cruz Jr., and Jesse (Jackie) Cruz. Daughters Carla (Pete) Escobar and Nikki (Eric) Valencia. She also has numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Maria will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Stoddard Funeral Home. A funeral mass will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St Peter's Catholic Church. The burial will occur Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be a reception at St Peter's Catholic Church following the burial.
