Michael Preston Morris

Michael Preston Morris, 65, of Loveland passed away on December 3, 2014. Michael was born on October 23, 1949 in Memphis, TN. He was the only child of Alpha Herchel Morris of Decatur, Il. and Evelyn Frances Preston Morris of Ready, KY.

After living in Memphis for a short time; due to poor health as a youngster, the family relocated to Cheyenne, WY. Here he received most of his education. Upon graduation from High School, he attended Mesa Junior College in Grand Junction, CO. There he earned his A.S. Degree and transferred to Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. There he received his degree in Business Management. He finished his education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

Mike was employed for many years in construction and materials management. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Loveland. Michael’s hobbies included woodworking, coin collection, gardening and model airplanes. He loved the outdoors and especially “The Rocky Mountains”. Mike loved football and the Green Bay Packers. His last quest in life was caring for his mother for roughly seven years as her main care giver. He said it was one of the hardest jobs he ever took on but the most rewarding.

Michael is survived by two daughters, one granddaughter and one grandson.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Allnutt Funeral Service in Loveland.
