Nemecio Benavidez, 52, of Greeley, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was born on April 7, 1963 in Greeley to Nemecio Benavidez, Sr. and Anna Marie (Sanchez) Benavidez.
Nemecio attended Heath Jr. High School and Greeley Central High School. He married Lori Moran in 1985 in Greeley. He worked as a truck driver for many years in Greeley and occasionally as a roofer.
Nemecio was a very good boxer. He won several Golden Gloves. He liked to fish and play pool. He also liked to hang out with his bros. He loved his dogs very much.
Nemecio is survived by his son, Carlos Martinez; brothers, Joey, Mark, Isidore and Vince Benavidez and sisters, Rita Benavidez and Sylvia (Manuel) Cruz.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Isidore and Geneva Benavidez, his parents and a sister, Geneva Benavidez.
