Pamela attended Iowa Western Community College and got her associate degree in applied science. She was a registered nurse and specialized in cardiac care, where she worked until becoming a travel nurse which led her to Colorado along with her husband, Darrell Wayne Reid. They married in 1979.
She enjoyed gardening and was a big animal lover. Pamela loved bible study, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was always outdoors in the sun and would spend full summer days at the pool.
Pamela always searched for the truth, no matter the subject or outcome. She was very inquisitive and intelligent.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Darrell Wayne Reid; daughter, Krista Lynette Medearis; sons, Jason Matthew Reid and Philip Nathan Reid; brother, Harold Keith Medearis; grandchildren, Kyle Kenneth Medearis, Kassandra Alise Koon, Marcus Reid, Ashlyn Reid, Teneah Reid, and Ashton Reid; great-grandchildren, Carsen Wall and Adelyn Thompson; and her nieces and nephews, Michelle, Jennifer, Justin Poast, and Chad Underwood.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Jerry, Paul Whitbeck, her parents, Frances Josephine Medearis and Harold Kenneth Medearis, and her grandchild, Kristopher James Koon.
A visitation for Pamela will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
