Greeley, Colorado – Pedro Loma Juarez, 82, died of Covid complications March 6, 2022 at UC Health Greeley Hospital. He was born February 23, 1940, in Zacatecas, Mexico to Bonifacio Loma and Cirila Juarez.
Pedro married Maria Teresa Ibarra in Zacatecas, Mexico, started a family but decided to move to the United States in 1968 to seek better opportunities for themselves and their children. They settled in the state of Colorado and lived here for the remaining of his life. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 26, 2021.
Pedro began working as a baker since the age of 12 in Mexico. He brought his passion for baking to the United States and continued baking his Mexican pastries part-time out of his home for friends and relatives and then in a bakery owned by his children while maintaining his regular job. He also enjoyed growing vegetables in his backyard and then selling them to local supermarkets and at a farmers market. After working for 20 years at Longmont foods, he eventually retired to enjoy fishing and to spend more time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by grandsons, Louie, Ernesto, Manuel and granddaughter Jenny, sons, Jessie and Joe.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Maria Teresa Loma, are his sons, Fernando, Frank, Morris, Pete; daughters Luci and Myrna; grandchildren, Larry, Maria Teresa, Jessica, Jesus Jr, Pedro, Alexis, Fernando, Dario, Adrian, Ashley, Hannah, Gabriel, Mikaela, Kiera, Kimberly, Jeffrey, Leah, Briana, Mia, Tanya, Isabel, Neveah, Brooklyn, Jovaughn, Kao and many great grandchildren.

Mass Service is Friday March 18, 2022 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace.
Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens following mass.
