

Peter Dudley Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 1, 2024, in Greeley, CO, at the age of 86. Born on July 4, 1938, in Denver, CO, Peter lived a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication to his family and community.
Peter is survived by Barbara, the love of his life and wife of 65 years; his sons Ty (Stacey) and Derek (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Reed Miller (Hannah) with great-grandchildren James and Isaac, Rachel Willard (Andrew), Lauren Overmiller (Andrew) with great-granddaughter Ivy, Eliza Collins (Sean) with great-granddaughter Daphne, Benjamin Miller, and Oliver Miller. Peter was predeceased by his brother, David Miller.
Peter attended the University of Wyoming after which he and his brother David owned and operated National Drinks, Inc. of Scottsbluff, NE, a Coca-Cola, 7-Up, and Dr. Pepper bottling, canning, and distribution company from 1958 to 1986. He was invited to be a member of the Coca-Cola Mainstream Bottlers Advisory Council, where he made significant contributions to the industry. After selling the business he retired to Beaver Creek, CO where he became an avid outdoorsman. He loved cycling, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and tennis. He loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with friends including a bike trip to France, hiking trips to Switzerland and Italy. He had a lifelong love of football especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills. After moving to Greeley, his love of trains became a passion in building his extensive model railroad.
His faith in Christ was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him with love and compassion. Peter was known for his generosity and tender heart. He loved giving gifts and spending time with his family.
A memorial service to honor Peter’s life will be held at Allnutt Funeral Home, 6520 West 20th Street, Greeley, CO, on Monday, August 12, at 10:30 AM.
Peter’s legacy of love, generosity, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
