

Ramon Naranjo “Ray” Juarez, 68, of Greeley, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his home. Ray was born on August 7, 1946 in Tepechitlan, Zacatecos, Mexico to Eulojio Juarez and Maria Guadalupe Naranjo.
Ray was the oldest of seven siblings and worked on the farms. He came to the United States when he was 28 years old to better his and his family’s lives. He spent 25 years in transportation as a truck driver, then retired to work in the dairy, milking cows.
On July 3, 1990 he married Mary Ortega in Greeley. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Ray was good friends with everyone he knew. He was always there for his family and friends. He loved flowers and gardening. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. Ray also loved to cook tamales and have barbeques with all his family.
Ray is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Celia Juarez and Maria Santillan (Jose); son, Enriqué Jaurez; sisters, Maria De Jesus Hernandez, Leonila Lozano Leo, Estella Esteben Montano and Enedina Guadalupe Ramos; brothers, Chabelo Juarez and Elijio Juarez; grandchildren, Michael (Brandy) Foxworthy, Justin Foxworthy, Jr., Isabella, Brandy, Troy Martines, Adela, Jessie, Umberto, Andres, Jasmine, Isaias and Santiago Santillan, Eloy, Adriana, David, Lorena and Ivan Venegas, Veronika DeHerrera, Anthony DeHerrera and Preciosa Gonzales and great-grandchildren, Apollonia Foxworthy, Areilne Perez, Noha Minjares and R.J. Redfern.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment Evans Cemetery.
