Ramona Rodriguez

Ramona Rodriguez, 82, of Windsor, passed away, July 28, 2016 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born August 31, 1933 in Austin, Texas to Matias and Paula (Cisneros) Ramirez. Ramona married Rumaldo Rodriguez on July 31, 1953 in Colorado, he passed away in 1975.

Ramona was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Windsor.

She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and also dancing. Ramona taught herself to read. She also enjoyed playing the penny slots, bingo and family board games. Ramona enjoyed her cup of coffee with her horoscope. She loved to cook and making tamales at Christmas was a tradition. She also loved helping raise her grandchildren.

Ramona is survived by her five children Stella Martinez (Ramon), Adolph Rodriguez (Gloria), Ralph Rodriguez (Barb), Celia Askvig and Joyce Tevino (Ben); a sister Rosie Hernandez (Julian); a brother Jose Ramirez; special friend Lois Lozano; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rumaldo Arthur Rodriguez; a sister Benita Flores and two brothers Tony and Matias Ramirez.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2016 with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Windsor. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
