Rita Ernestina Valencia, 64, of Greeley, passed away at North Colorado Medical of Greeley on August 29, 2014. She was born May 22, 1950 to Ben and Senida (Autobee) Martinez in Pueblo, CO. She married Ruddy Valencia, November 26, 1977 in Greeley.

Rita graduated from Greeley Central High School. She was a custodian for the City of Greeley at the Rodarte Center.

Rita was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.

Rita was an artist. She could draw and was very creative. She enjoyed camping and fishing; loved being a mother, cooking and housekeeper.

She is survived by her husband Ruddy Valencia; son, Rudy Valencia; brothers Ben, Daniel and Roque Martinez; sisters, Victoria Rodarte, Vivian Chavez, Alice Baca, and Irene Sierra.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Senida Martinez; infant children, Bryan, Anastacio and Marcus; brothers, Raymond, Henry and Leo Martinez; sisters, Mary Ann Roybal and Lucy Martinez.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
