Robert Alvin Roth

He was born October 2,1942 in Platteville, CO to John and Mildred (Jenkins) Roth. Bob went to school in Kersey, CO. On February 10,1961 he married his high school sweetheart Virginia Rae Vogel.

Bob was in agriculture most of his life. He started work with his father and brothers farming and working a dairy. He then moved his family to Otis, CO to start his own dairy. After a number of years he moved to Yuma, CO to farm irrigated pivots with his twin brother Jim and younger brother Mike. A few years later he moved back to the Greeley area and farmed dryland wheat with his sons. His younger son Jeff went on with other interests but Bob and his son Greg continued farming in the New Raymer area until retiring.

Bob enjoyed pitching fast pitch softball in his younger years. He enjoyed fishing especially with his family and grandchildren and looked forward to fish fries. He also enjoyed hunting and target shooting, but his passion was hunting arrowheads which he was able to do even up to his passing.

Survivors include his son Greg (Tammy) Roth of Greeley, CO., his grandchildren Jessica Roth of Greeley, CO., Lindsey (Nathan) Seils of Greeley, CO., Darin Roth of Denver, CO., Lance (Kelsi) Roth of Sheridan, WY., three great grandchildren, Riley and Henry Roth of Sheridan, WY., and Matthew Seils of Greeley, CO., two brothers, Don (Judy) Roth of Wray, CO., Mike (Diane) Roth of Evergreen, CO., Two sister-in-laws Patty (Jim Roth) Printz of Fort Morgan, CO., Ava (Rick) Roth of Yuma, CO., numerous nieces and nephews and his dear friend Joan Cox of Kersey, CO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred, his wife Virginia, son Jeff and two brothers, Jim (his twin) and Rick.

A graveside service for Bob will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6th at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W 28th Street Greeley, CO 80634. A lunch reception will follow at City Lights Church 7251 W 4th Street, Greeley, CO 80634.
