

Robert was born on December 17, 1931, in Colorado to Ernest and Fern (Waterfield) Tegtman. He grew up in the Prospect Valley area, where he attended and graduated from Prospect Valley High School. Prospect Valley remained his lifelong home and the place he loved deeply.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his service, he devoted much of his life to serving his community. He was a volunteer firefighter for 45 years and served on the fire board for 39 years, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to helping others.
Robert worked as a mechanic throughout his life and had a deep passion for cars. Automobiles were truly his world, and he enjoyed everything about them, including collecting model cars. In addition to his work as a mechanic, he also drove a school bus for the Weld County School District for many years. Robert was known for his strong work ethic and for always keeping busy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Fern Tegtman, and his brothers, Sylvester Tegtman, Howard Tegtman, and James Tegtman.
Robert is survived by his children, Ernest Tegtman, Anne Robinson, and Roberta Law (Ken Wood); his brother, Frankie Tegtman; his sisters, Betty Jean Hillenbrand and Joan Gustafson; his grandchildren, Bobby Law (Chloe) and Brett Law; and his great-grandchildren, Hadley Law and Emerson Meiwes.
Robert will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his community, and his lifelong love of cars.
