It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Rogelio Maldonado, age 71, of Greeley, Colorado. Rogelio passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Rogelio was born May 8, 1950, in San Ignacio, Chihuahua, Mexico.
He proudly created a loving family and home alongside his Beloved wife Martha.
Over the years, he worked as a carpenter instructor and was a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He took pride in his work and in raising his family. He was a highly skilled and knowledgeable auto mechanic. His incredible work ethic and perseverance made him our pillar of strength, the mentor to our young, and the soul of our family. He instilled the value of education and was a strong advocate for equity and social justice. He was an avid sports fan and loved to attend local sport games with his family. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was extremely supportive of his children and grandchildren in their athletic and other activities. Two of his favorite spots to visit with his wife and siblings were Las Vegas and Central City. Rogelio will truly be missed and will live forever in our hearts with every smile, laugh, and tear.
Rogelio is survived by, his wife, Martha, his children, Diana Cantu (Danny), Gabriella M. Rennaker (Eric), Raul Rogelio (Amy), Jose Alfonso Maldonado, Miguel Angel Maldonado (Patricia), Oscar Maldonado (Jaclyn), 17 grandchildren, two great granddaughters, brother, Rodolfo Maldonado and sisters, Leticia Marquez, Sylvia Maldonado and Lorena Maldonado.
He now reunites with parents, father Angel Maldonado and mother Anita Maldonado, and Brother Jorge Maldonado.
Into your arms, O God,
we humbly entrust a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
In this life, you embraced him with your tender love.
Deliver him now from every evil and bid him enter eternal rest.
The old order has passed away.
Welcome him into paradise, where there will be no sorrow,
no weeping, nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy
with Your Son and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever.
