

Mr. Ronald “Ron” Mutka, 81, of Loveland, Colorado passed away February 12, 2015. He was born on October 23, 1933 in Hammond, Indiana to Joseph Mutka, Sr. and Lucile (Doyle) Mutka. Ron was in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He married Joan M. Gilman on August 3, 1953 in Hammond, Indiana. They were married for 60 years. They moved to Loveland in 1982.
Ron worked for Union Carbide Corporation (Praxair Inc.) for 25 years and retired in 1991. He sponsored a sculpture at Benson Park for several years. Ron enjoyed doing handy man work on the side, Valentine’s Day (Sweetheart) stamping, loved the Rockies and was a lifelong Bears fan! He was a long time Honor Guard for the VFW Post 41. He loved traveling and golf. Ron was also a “Bell Ringer” on Veteran’s Day. He loved to crochet pink scarves which were presented to cancer survivors when they received their final clean bill of health.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Mutka (Karen) of Roseville, CA and Douglas Mutka of Loveland, CO & sister, Marilyn D’Angelo of MO., and grandchildren Keith Mutka (Jen), Jill Mutka, Derek Mutka (Nicole), Bryan Mutka (Robin), Thomas Asay (Ashley), Nathaniel Mutka and Chris Mutka along with several great grand children. Ron was preceded in death by his Parents Joseph and Lucille, Wife Joan, Brother Jim, Son Bob, Daughter Denise & Grandson Brandon.
He will be missed deeply. Love you Dad!
The visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Allnutt Funeral Service. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Allnutt Funeral Service, Hunter Chapel followed by a reception at the family home at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 41 or Alzheimer Association in care of Allnutt Funeral Service.
