As a child, Ruth and her family moved to Colorado. She lived in Greeley for 55 years.
On February 19, 1972, she married Manuel Acosta, Jr.
Ruth worked as a pharmacy tech and a CNA for Banner Health at NCMC. She loved shopping, gambling and spending time with her family and Rocky, her dog.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Manuel Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Robert Hartman; son, Michael Acosta; three sisters, Juanita, Anita and Ida and her twin sister, Emma Barrera; four brothers, Agapito, Jr., Abel, Aaron and Dan Barrera; one granddaughter, Stephanie and many loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Felipa and Alfredo.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
