Sally Elijia Martinez

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was one of 13 children raised in South Colorado and New Mexico. Her parents moved her and her siblings to Greeley, Colorado in 1974. On June 22, 1975, she started her own family with her first born, Michael Anthony Ruybal and on May 18, 1978, her second son, John Paul Flores.

Sally loved going to many concerts and dances with her mom, sisters, and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking misc. items for her family. In 1992, her one and only granddaughter was born who she loved with all her heart. Sally later moved to Plainview, Texas in 1994 where she lived out the rest of her days with her husband, Juan Perez.

Sally's living relatives include her sons, Michael Anthony (Susan) Ruybal and John Paul (Lisa) Flores; granddaughter, Rochelle S. Ruybal; brothers, Manuel Orlando (Paula) Martinez, Jim J. Martinez, Leroy Martinez, Arnold (Theresa) Martinez and Casey Martinez; sisters, Prescilla Martinez, Martha Martinez, Joyce Sandoval, Barbara Martinez, and Frances (Robert Lopez) Martinez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Susie Ruby Martinez; father, Manuel Casey Martinez; brother, Leonard and sister, Evelyn; as well as nephew, James Pacheco.
