Sandie Darlyne Sewald, a cherished resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on November 21, 1949, in Colorado to Darl Bates and Dorothy Reichert, Sandie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Sandie graduated from Greeley Central High School and pursued further education at Aims Community College, where she received her associate's degree. She dedicated over 35 years of her professional life to serving others as a Registered Nurse, a career that demonstrated her commitment and compassion.
In her personal life, Sandie was known for her love of coloring, crocheting, and traveling to the Caribbean. She took great joy in tending to her many flower beds and had a special affection for dogs. Her Christmas Fudge and Lasagna were well-loved by all who had the pleasure of tasting them.
Sandie is survived by her son, Bryan Sewald and his wife Monique; her grandson, Anakin Sewald; her granddaughter, Bryann Sewald; her niece, Kara Bates; and her great-niece, Zoe Bates. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darl Bates and Dorothy Reichert, her step-mother, Jane Bates, her step-father, Dave Reichert, her son, Tracy Allyn, and her brother, Richard Bates.
A Visitation will be held on February 17, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Stoddard Funeral & Cremation & Sunset Memorial Gardens, located at 3205 W 28th St, Greeley, Colorado. Funeral Service will follow from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the same location. A reception will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, also at Stoddard Funeral & Cremation & Sunset Memorial Gardens. A graveside service will take place from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Lakeview Cemetery, 32815 CO 257, Windsor, Colorado.
Sandie's legacy of kindness and dedication will be cherished by her family and friends.
