Shirley Ann "Snook" Sanders

Shirley was raised in Pierce and has lived in Nunn for the past 25 years. She and Johnny have been married for over 25 years. In her younger years, she was involved in Girl Scouts and then became a Troop leader later on.

Shirley had a very cheerful and optimistic personality. She enjoyed sewing, coloring, origami and traveling to the mountains. She loved to cook for the holidays. Shirley was looking forward to home schooling her granddaughter.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Johnny of Nunn; daughter, Jonnie Renee Sanders; son Jake Sanders (Tiffany Morris); granddaughter, Rose Morris; daughter-in-law, Laura (Derek) Dodson; brothers, Butch Grogan, JD McKinzie and Pat Williams and brothers-in-law, Ricky (Mary Ann) Sanders, Gary (Kelly) Sanders, Terry Hill and Dennis (Debbie) Hill.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Iva Mae McKinzie.

A visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
