

Steven Merle Ferrell, 76, of Evans, Colorado, passed away at home on November 14, 2025. He was born in Greeley, Colorado, on May 16, 1949, to Irvin Ferrell Jr. and Violet Buckendorf, and was raised alongside his brother and sister.
Steven proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. After returning home, he dedicated the rest of his working life to building Ford engines, spending many years with Hesco Manufacturing. Known for his steady work ethic and skill, he took great pride in his craft.
Those who knew Steven will remember his sharp sense of humor, his love of the outdoors, and the joy he found in simple pleasures—hunting, fishing, and taking long drives through the drylands. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his life.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Jr. and Violet Ferrell, and his brother, Sam Langley. He is survived by his sons, Scott Ferrell and John Ferrell; his sister, Rose; granddaughters Jolenne, Adrianna, and Lilly; two great-grandchildren; his honorary daughter, Amanda Bryant; and a large extended family who loved him deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW- Post 6624; 3501 State Street; Evans, CO 80620.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
