Thomas Vidal Roybal Jr., 56, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on July 10, 2025. He was born on August 2, 1968 to Thomas Vidal Roybal Sr. and Frances Alaniz, and was raised in Greeley with his 2 sisters and brother. Thomas was a beloved father, grandfather, son, fiancé, and friend whose presence brought laughter, strength, and warmth to everyone who knew him.
A proud "jack-of-all-trades," Thomas worked for many years as a commercial plumber, always known for his dedication, work ethic, and willingness to lend a hand. Whether it was fixing something around the house or under the hood of one of his daughter's cars, Thomas approached every task with heart and skill.
Music played a huge role in his life, especially rock, which often echoed in the background while he built model cars or cooked up one of his famous meals. Thomas was a true jokester who loved making people laugh. His playful spirit, signature grin, and warm greeting of "Howdy" will be deeply missed.
An avid fisherman, he often sought out the thrill of reeling in a "river monster." He was also a diehard Raiders fan, proudly cheering for his team through every season. Above all, Thomas cherished his family. He found joy in feeding them, helping them, and simply being with them.
Thomas is survived by his children: Kristina Sanchez, Desri-ann Almeida, Crystal Sanchez, Isabel Sanchez, Nakia Sanchez, and Damien Chacon; the mother of his children, Dorina Sanchez; his fiancée, Anita Salazar; 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his father, Thomas Roybal Sr.; his mother, Frances Alaniz; his brother, Mathew Roybal; his sisters, Regina Roybal and Shantiel Olivas; and god-sister, Alanna Roybal.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m., both at Stoddard Funeral Home in Greeley.
Thomas's laughter, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be treasured forever.
