

She graduated from Greeley High School in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Walrath, that same year. They were married for 55 years when Bill passed away in 2003.
Nan retired from Monfort, Inc. where she worked as an Executive Assistant. Prior to that many will remember Nan and Bill as operating the Rubaiyat Bar in Greeley and the clubhouse at the Eaton Country Club. After retirement Nan began volunteering at her grandchildren's schools, the Union Colony Civic Center, The Weld County Clothing Bank and RSVP.
Nan and Bill were season ticket holders for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, attending Broncos' Super Bowls and the World Championship Game in 1967 (Super Bowl 1). She also attended countless sporting events watching her grandchildren. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed all types of needlework. She loved being outdoors and talked fondly about the years living in Honolulu and Helena, MT.
She is survived by her five children, Peri Jessel of Cheyenne, Randy Walrath of Greeley, Jill Kaup of Westminster, Rae Guenthner of Greeley, and Lynn Kramer of Greeley, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a brother Ron Carstens.
