Vonnie ""Kathy Katherine Meyer

Vonnie “Kathy” Katherine Meyer, 69, of Pierce, passed away December 4, 2015 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born October 17, 1946 in Greeley to Charles Leonard and Pearl Rose (Weber) McKenzie. Kathy married the love of her life Raymond H. Meyer on May 2, 1969. He has since passed.

Kathy graduated from Highland High School in 1964. She worked at K-Mart, Woolworths and Sears and retired as the Post Master at the Lucerne Post Office.

Kathy was a Christian who was strong of faith. She enjoyed watching Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen.

Kathy was very loving, caring and family oriented. She loved to bake and cook and enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time in the mountains and at Central City.

Kathy is survived by her brother, Gary (Marie) McKenzie, Greeley; sister Sylvia Buchanan, Greeley; Nephews Travis (Colette) Songhurst, Ault, Kevin (Pamela) McKenzie, Pierce, and Ronald (Trina) McKenize Russellville, AR; niece Nikita Meyer, Cheyenne, WY; special friends Annie and Judy; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Raymond Meyer; sister Eileen Milburn; and her loving loyal pet Tippy.

A visitation will be held from 7-9:00 P.M. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Services will be held on at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Allnutt Macy Chapel. Reception at the Allnutt Reception Center following the burial. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Nunn, CO.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Gary McKenzie, Kevin McKenzie, R.J. McKenzie, Ron McKenzie, Travis Songhurst, and Dwayne Weber; and Honorary Pallbearers Christian Armfield and Junior Cook.
