He was born on August 9, 1949 in Duluth, Minnesota to Carl and Anna (Neimi) Bong. Wade grew up in Osseo, Wisconsin with his two younger sisters and brother. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and moved to Colorado.
Wade was a service repairman for Pitney Bowes for 40 years. It was while working in Denver that he met Cynthia Province. They were married on July 6, 1974, and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They moved to Greeley in 1983, where they raised their two sons, Matt and Joel.
Wade enjoyed watching Wisconsin football, as well as all of the professional sports teams in Colorado. His passion for golf was evident to all who knew him. After retirement, Wade could be found on the golf course every day, as long as there wasn't snow on the ground. However, his family was most important to him and he was immensely proud of his sons and grandsons.
Wade is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cindy Bong; his two sons, Matt (Khara) Bong and Joel Bong; a sister, Jody Bong, a brother, Richard Bong; and his three grandsons, Jackson, Brady, and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna, and a sister, Jill Bong.
