

Arthur Wilburt Robinett, 94, of Evans, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Fairacres Manor. Wilburt was born on April 29, 1920 in Township of Buffalo, County of Jewell, Kansas to Arthur F. Robinett and Velma N. Emerson.
As a young boy, he lived in Kansas and Nevada, moving to Greeley in the early 1930s. He was active in FFA and farming during high school, graduating from Greeley High School in 1937.
As a young man, he attended First Assembly of God church, where he met the love of his life, Inamae McAvoy. They were married on March 28, 1943.
At a young age, he started buying the family farm. He farmed full-time and also did custom farming work part-time in the Greeley area. After selling the family farm in 1970, he started custom harvesting full-time, continuing until 1985. Wilburt then went into full-time truck driving and retired at the age of 85.
He loved and valued his time with family, joking and telling stories. He was an avid reader, devouring books in less than a day, wrote over 100 poems for weddings and funerals for the special friends in his life. In addition, hunting and his hobby of flying and delivering small planes around the United States brought him special pleasure, allowing him to meet and develop more friendships.
Wilburt and his wife loved opening and sharing their home and wonderful spirit of fun, humor and life with everyone they knew.
Wilburt was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Inamae Robinett; children, Jim Robinett of Ontario, Oregon, Danny and wife Susie Robinett of Loveland, Colorado, Bob Robinett of Thornton, Colorado, Shirley and husband Berk Knighton of Bozeman, Montana; brothers, Harold Robinett of Whidbey Island, Washington and Loris Robinett of Pensacola, Florida; nine grandchildren seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father, Arthur, mother, Velma and brothers, Maynard, Howard and Ralph.
Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at First Assembly of God. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
