William “Bill” C. Aplin, II, passed away August 19, 2016. He was born December 20, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Emery and Mildred (Ostrich) Aplin. Bill was a retired Senior Master Sergeant E8 in the U.S. Air Force. He served in both WWII and the Korean War. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked at CSU Veterinary Hospital, retiring in January, 1989. Bill led a life of strong faith in his Lord. He served as an Elder for many years at Dayspring Christian Church. He also loved hunting, fishing and watching his grandsons play baseball. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herbert Aplin; and sister, Norma Woods. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jeanette Aplin; children, William Aplin, III, Debra Thillbar, Barb Cleaver, Theresa Salveson, Wade Germolus, Michelle (Scott) Purdy, and The Bean Team: Beth, Dell, Mitchell and Marcus; and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2016 at Dayspring Christian Church, 8005 Highland Meadows Parkway, Fort Collins, CO 80528.
