Born Dec. 13, 1923 in Kokomo, the son of Albert Lee and Martha (Norris) Grimes.
He attended Greencastle High School.
Albert was a United States Army veteran, having served in World War II.
He worked at Colvin Construction Co. in Indianapolis and was a 60-year member of Carpenters Union 859.
He had also owned and operated The Workshop upholstery shop.
Survivors include his wife, Lena V. (Taylor) Grimes; daughters Kathy (Kenny) Ferrand and Donna (Jim) Cooper; a son, Danny (Judy) Grimes; brother Merle (Marjorie) Grimes; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin daughters, LeeAnn and DeeAnn Grimes; and brothers, Fred, Frank, Clifford, Clyde and Donald Grimes.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22 at Forest Hill Cemetery with inurnment to follow.
