Alta Christine Mason

Born March 15, 1927 in Liberty, KY, she was the daughter of Thomas and Carrie Lee (Morris) Crawley.

She was a homemaker, a loving Mother and Grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Floyd Darrell (Nancy) Short, Carol Phelps, Kathy (Jerry) Morrow, Kenny (Sandy) Short, Donnie (Beth) Short, Robin Dale (Debbie) Short, Angie (Joe) Anvoots, Gloria (Russ) Houston, Barry Mason, and Twila (Buddy) Boaz; 30 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Floyd Short and Dwain Mason; son, Randall Short; brothers, Willie and Raymond; sisters, Grace, Irene and an infant sister, Sadie; son-in-law Don Phelps; two grandchildren, Jeremy Phelps and James Nauman; and one great grandchild, Jacob.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2014 with Pastor Gerron Ayento officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
