She was born on August 25, 1952 in Greencastle to Ben Bonney and Mary June Browning Bonney.
Barbara was a 1970 graduate of Greencastle High School, and was employed by the Greencastle Utility Office for over 36 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a two time recipient of the John R Hurte Award.
Her mother and a nephew, Allen Bonney preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband, Rick Long; father, Ben Bonney; brother, Steve Bonney; and nephew Adam Bonney.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11 A.M. at Forest Hill Cemetery.
