Benedict “Dick” Francis Tucker II, 77, of Greencastle joined his beloved wife in heaven on December 29, 2019.
Dick was born in New York, New York on October 3, 1942, the son of Benedict F. and Ruth H. (Hammond) Tucker, and was a graduate of Huntington High School in Huntington, New York. He attended Ohio Wesleyan University, before enlisting in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Tucker was a member of the Gobin United Methodist Church. He retired from Wheaton Van Lines after 25 years of service.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Tucker, Greencastle, and Lee Kiger, (wife-Beth), Bloomington; two daughters, Amy Dixon, (husband-Joe), Bloomington, and Tami McGuire, (husband-Wade), Fillmore; a brother, Tom Tucker, (wife-Heather), Huntington, New York; a sister Mary Kellner, (husband-Ted), Mequon, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Michael Tucker, (wife-Heidi), Greencastle, Megan Harris, (husband-Andrew), Payne Stewart, and Sadie Stewart, all of Coatesville, and Sam Dixon, Bloomington; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Karen Sue Tucker.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2019 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service.
