

She was born on May 17, 1920 in Fillmore, the daughter of William Ezra and Florence Worth (Christy) Arnold. On November 20, 1942, she married Herschel O. Scobee and was married nearly 50 years prior to his passing in 1992.
Imogene is survived by her son, Danny (Cindy) Scobee of Fillmore; daughter Lesa (Gary) Snedegar of Bloomington; four sisters, Joan (Alvis) Veazey of Amarillo, TX, Wilma Wallace of Coatesville, Joyce (Fred) Girton of Greencastle, and Shirley (Jack) Whitley of Mechanicsburg, PA; brother, Jimmie (Bobbie) Arnold of Westfield; sister-in-law, Lois Abbott of Merced, CA; 14 grandchildren, Kristi (Rick) Wood, Kara (Paul) Carroll, Raenetta (Ryan) Johnson, Dan (Denise) Duncan, Melissa Hudson, Kelli (Mike) Aynes, Darin (Robyn) Duncan, Ryan Scobee, Cory (Beth) Scobee, Amanda (Mark) Scobee, Heather (Matt) Knoy, Jenny (Steven) Hall, Chris (Jenn) Boswell and Casey Snedegar; 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald Ray Scobee; daughter, Sue Karen Duncan; son-in-law, Richard Duncan; sister and brother-in-law, Waneta (Ivor) McMains; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby (Marilyn) Arnold; brother-in-law, Irvin Wallace; in-laws, Claude and Hazel Scobee; brothers-in-law, Marvin Scobee and Stanley Scobee; sisters-in-law, Freda, Wilma and Doris.
Imogene was a beautician for over 70 years, and loved her family with all her heart. She was the oldest living member of Fillmore Christian Church and belonged to Greencastle O.E.S. chapter 255 and the Beechwood Pleasant Circle Club. Mrs. Scobee served as Deaconess, assisted with Jobs Daughters, Murat Shrine, DeMolay, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and countless other organizations throughout her lifetime.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Faust officiating. Interment will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 21, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home, where an Order of Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 P.M..
