Indiana. He was born on September 24, 1958, in Indianapolis and had called Putnam County
home for the past 35 years.
Danny owned and operated Custom Ice and Refrigeration with his cousin Wesley for many
years. In that time, he formed lasting friendships with customers, employees, and suppliers
alike. Known for his ever-present smile and sense of humor, Danny had a gift for making people
laugh — often with his famously corny “dad jokes,” which he proudly mastered. His cheerful
presence and warm heart left a mark on everyone who knew him.
Danny took great pride in his work and loved what he did, but the role he cherished most in life
was that of being a father. He was a devoted and loving dad to his daughter Elise, and his pride
in her was evident to all. He also deeply loved his stepchildren, and his grandchildren were the
light of his life.
Outside of work and family, Danny enjoyed fishing, being by the ocean, watching football, and
going out to eat with his loved ones — especially if it meant Japanese steakhouse or crab legs
were on the menu.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Glenna M. Watt and William T. Dunahoo; his wife,
Beth Wilburn; and his brother, Edward Watt. He is survived by his daughter, Elise D. Wilburn;
stepchildren, Amber and Erik Wilburn; grandchildren, Madalynn Sanford, Emery Wilburn, Gavin
Hoopingarner, Kinsleigh Wilburn, Myah Cook, and Tyler Cook; his brother, Mark Dunahoo; and
66 years’ worth of people who loved him.
At this time, no services are planned. To honor Danny, carry his values forward and keep his
memory alive by sharing his stories — the funny ones, the lessons he taught, and all the little
things that made him so special.
