Born April 7, 1947, in Crawfordsville, IN, he was the son of Wendell Shaw Vermilion and Nettie Oval (Duncan) Vermilion Pettit.
Danny was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion.
He worked for VERB Construction for several years. He loved to be outside, mushroom hunting, being with family, and especially cooking and sharing recipes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children Constance, Christina, and Richard; brothers Steven Ray Vermilion, Jerry DeWayne Vermilion, and Ronald Lynn Vermillion.
Danny is survived by his sister Debbra Burk & husband Stephen, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and nieces & nephews.
Danny had requested cremation services. Hopkins- Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
