David Christopher Blanton

Born February 15, 1983 in Terre Haute the son of Debbie (Jones) Weddle and David Blanton. He was a graduate of South Putnam High School “Class of 2002”

Chris served ten years in the United States Air Force. He took his basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, was stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base. He completed his career in the 181st Division of the Air National Guard in Terre Haute.

Chris had worked as an aircraft mechanic in Indianapolis and Terre Haute.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry & Martha Jones and grandmother Pat Blanton.

Chris is survived by his mother Debbie J. (husband Phillip) Weddle, father David (wife Diana) Blanton; wife Christina Blanton and children Bailey Blanton, Audrey Blanton, Gracie Blanton, Dylan Blanton, and Sophia Blanton; brothers Josh (wife April) Weddle, Todd (wife Ashley) Weddle, Zach (wife Erica) Combs, and Derek (wife Bethany) Combs; sisters Kendra Mitchell and Cecily (husband Isaac) Case; grandfather Dellon Blanton; grandmother Shirley Hammond and several extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM for Chris on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at New Providence Baptist Church 6526 S. Co. Rd. 550 E. Greencastle.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until time of service on Wednesday at the church.
