Born July 14, 1965 in Brazil, he was the son of Donald Ray and Jacqueline Ann (Williams) Williams. David was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1984” and Ivy Tech with a degree in welding.
David was a welder with Crown Industries in Greencastle. He had previously worked at Olin Brass, Great Dane, and Pittsburg Tank and Tower. He was a member of ABATE, AA, and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan M. Williams and companion, Corbin Cromwell; sister, Catharine (Chad) Slavens; a granddaughter, Laylah Cromwell; and a nephew, Jake Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Larry Ray and Charles Wayne Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment with military rites will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
