Gary Wayne McCullough

He was born October 1, 1947 in Brazil, Indiana to Herschel Seibert and Betty Aker McCullough. Gary graduated from Reelsville High School and attended Indiana State University. He worked in the lab at Lonestar for 37 years. Gary attended Big Walnut Baptist Church and was a member of First Baptist Church Greencastle. He had previously served as a deacon at both. Gary was always extremely friendly and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. He enjoyed metal detecting, looking for and collecting arrowheads, anything that had to do with history, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 55 years, Sheila Brackney McCullough, his brother David McCullough (Peggy), three daughters, Lisa Gall (Eric), Kari Schimpf (Mike), Meghan Tipton (Chris) along with five grandchildren, Noah and Allison Schimpf, Rachel and Nathan Gall, and Jonathon Mace. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law, John and Louise Brackney

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home from 11:00 until the time of service at 1:00. Burial will be at Brick Chapel Cemetery.
