

He was born on April 12, 1953 in Putnam County to Howard Emmett Wilson and JoAnn Fowler Wilson.
Doug was a 1971 graduate of Greencastle High School and had been employed at Putnamville Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer for over 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Kimmel and Mona Wilson and Floyd and Hallie Fowler; and two aunts, Mona Berg and Caleen Wilson.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Robin F. York Wilson; a son, Christopher Wilson and wife Melissa of Greencastle; a brother, Steven Wilson and wife Darlene of Greencastle; two beloved grandchildren, Kinzee Wilson and Keifer Wilson; aunts and uncles, Sharon Baldwin and husband Lewis, and Claude Fowler and wife Carolyn; in-laws, Bob York and wife Pam, Roy York and wife Malinda, Becky Criss and husband Tony; five nieces, Megan Criss, Heidi Rogers and husband Derrick, Bailey York, Hannah York, Stephanie Wilson; and two nephews, Nathan Criss and Dustin York.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Pastor Willie Best officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Doug enjoyed being outdoors, and was an avid fisherman. He loved to read, and most of all spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
