

Carol was born on May 10, 1933 in Lafayette to John Parker and Josephine Thompson Parker.
She was a graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School and attended St. Mary of the Woods College. Carol was a 60 year resident of Bainbridge and was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church and the Women of the Moose, Greencastle Lodge.
Carol worked at Angwell Curtain factory until it closed, and retired from Sunset Manor (Hickory Creek at Sunset) Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Kolton Ryan Byrd.
Surviving are her children, Vance Tillotson of New Whiteland, Tim Tillotson and wife Viki of Bainbridge, Steve Tillotson of New Whiteland and Sharon Byrd and husband Charles of Bainbridge; a brother, Thomas Parker and wife Betty of Las Vegas, Nevada; 11 grandchildren, Amy Johnson, Michael Tillotson and wife Renee`, Ty Byrd and wife Shawnya, Ryan Byrd and wife Karla, Jodie Byrd, Katelyn Tillotson, Janikka Tillotson, Chandler Tillotson, Kyle Tillotson, Melissa Shelton and husband Jay and Brian Nelson and wife Erika; 16great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2 P.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Pastor Kurt Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home, with a Women of the Moose walk thru at 7 P.M.
Carol loved to play euchre and enjoyed traveling all over the country to play in euchre tournaments.
